About Benna Holden
Benna studies at the Arts Students League in New York City, and her work is owned by public and private collectors throughout the United States and around the world.
Drawing inspiration from a combination of her interest in Abstract Expressionism, her immediate surroundings and personal emotions, Benna Holden’s work is a reflection of her perception of the natural world. Through the use of color, texture and dynamic compositions she strives to trigger multiple responses in viewers enabling them to cast their own imaginations.
As a New York City-based artist, Benna’s practice of making minimalistic landscapes arises out of a desire to achieve peace and simplicity in her life. Drawn to the cathartic effect of the ocean, many of her works include some form of an abstract seascape, including her current series “H2O.”
